One of my favorite creative pieces to write and design is a direct selling ad. These are usually 1/4 page newsprint ads that are placed nationally in remnant space advertising campaigns. I’ve composed ads for clients in a multiple of genres, but most of my favorites are supplements and vitamins ads — they’re the most challenging technically and have tough compliance laws, but if successful they can run for years. My ads have been seen by hundreds of millions of people. Here are a few samples:
